Joseph Broadus holds a Doctorate in Music
composition from the Eastman School of Music and a
Master’s Degree in Education. He has
over 30 years experience as a counselor, teacher and
choir director.
He travels year-round
and
nation-wide presenting his popular choral
productions and is well known for his unique style
of teaching.
|
|

"Choir Joe"
Broadus |
Choir Joe uses music as the
bridge across cultures and as a method of self discovery
to unlock inner strengths. His programs are designed to
educate and elevate adults and youth, particularly those
youth connected to the criminal justice system, as to
their hidden potential.
In his “African Choral Experience” he facilitates groups of
all ages, races and abilities together in song. In
another dynamic program, the audience participates as
he explores the role of Gospel Music in Black History.
His focus is on the
historical preservation of this art form and its
inherent spiritual enlightenment for participants
through performance. |

Life on
Florida's Flowing Waters: Rivers are and have ever been our source of life, both
literally and metaphorically. Sing Me the River celebrates the
unique resources of Florida's waters, the people who have built their lives
and made their living by them, their history, culture and art. There's
a special emphasis on our need to conserve and protect these rivers and
waterways.
From the historic beauty of the Suwannee, to the
commerce of the Miami River, to the Everglades precious "River of Grass,"
Amy’s deep liquid voice and signature style, in song and spoken word,
celebrates Florida's rich river culture.
Amy also features original work from many of Florida's lost
troubadours, those who labor in love, and relative anonymity, for the waters
and way of life they adore and for the peoples those waters refresh, restore
and sustain. |
"She can seize your imagination and take you on
a journey that no
one wants to end."

Her talent is incredible! She was "edu-tainment"
at it's best! The students were
both active listeners and active participants. It was an spectacular
